What is an Erbium Laser Peel and who is a candidate for this type of treatment?
The Erbium Laser Peel treatment is one of the most advanced peels that is safe for all skin types and done naturally without chemicals as most are known for. This laser peel treatment is highly effective for clients with problematic skin, pigmentation issues, fine lines and wrinkles, as well as dullness. By removing the superficial layers of the skin whether fractionally or ablative, new collagen is able to regenerate and heal to a more evened out, brightened, smoother skin appearance. Treatment amounts vary depending on severity of the initial skin.
The Fotona laser provides one specific side of the laser, called the erbium laser. This laser has a wavelength of 2940nm and targets water in the skin. This method stimulates tightened elasticity as well as the production of new collagen naturally, the skin is rejuvenated and with a selected amount of treatments will provide longer lasting results with minimal maintenance. The results are shown with a controlled ablation or fractional ablation of a very fine layer of the skin with minimal downtime.
